Dreaming of being naked is a common dream. In times gone by this is a dream that I have had . According to Sigmund Freud, dreaming of being naked often represents a feeling of shame, vulnerability, or a fear of exposure, signifying repressed anxieties or desires that the dreamer is not consciously willing to face. In particular this can be related to their sexuality or personal insecurities; essentially, feeling “naked” in a dream could mean feeling exposed and vulnerable in a normal life situation. I personally am a very unconfident insecure person and so I guess why I had these dreams in my youth and why this project came to me.
I decided to go down this route after taking images on my iPhone with long exposure software (ICM). I did these by starting the long exposure and following people in the shopping alleys in Italy. These produced a dream like ethereal feel to them. I then decided to take it further with taking shots of models on my shoots with the specific idea to but then into the iPhone creations. Therefore creating the effect you see in my images. This has been my main creative output this year along with the original iPhone ICM images which will be in a later blog.
